Resolution Against the War

WHEREAS, the City Commission cannot speak for all residents but has been asked by hundreds of people to speak out on this momentous issue facing our nation, now, therefore, be itRESOLVED, that the City Commission urges the United States government to pursue all peaceful diplomatic alternatives to disarm Iraq; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Commission calls on the United States to support the renewal and full completion of United Nations weapons inspections; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Commission opposes preemptive war against Iraq.
